A Learning Management System (LMS) provides schools and districts with digital instructional workflows—like assigning, reporting, planning, grading, etc. LMSs are content-agnostic, meaning they accept content from multiple publishers. Districts benefit from using LMSs because all teachers have essentially the same digital instruction environment, regardless if their content is provided by College Board’s SpringBoard or another publisher.
SpringBoard currently supports three LMSs: Google Classroom, Canvas, and Schoology.
All ELA and Math teachers can assign assessments and eBook content from Google Classroom. Learn more about sharing ELA eBook and Math eBook content, assigning assessments, sharing student-facing teacher resources and Desmos Activities to Google Classroom.
If you’re a teacher, and you are looking for more support on how to use Google Classroom, please visit: https://support.google.com/edu/classroom
If you’re a teacher and your district is already set up with either Schoology or Canvas and you are looking for support in how to use these applications, please reach out to your district IT team. Visit the appropriate application links below for additional support:
In addition to Google Classroom, Canvas, and Schoology integration, SpringBoard supports alternative LMSs through use of add to clipboard functionality. Add to clipboard functionality provides a shareable link to access ELA eBook and Math eBook content, assessments, student-facing teacher resources, and Desmos Activities which can be used with any Learning Management System (LMS). This will allow teachers to provide links to SpringBoard Digital content from their chosen application to students rostered in their classes.
Thin Common Cartridges (TCC) are packages of files that can be imported into an LMS. Two of the supported LMSs use SpringBoard’s TCC files, Schoology and Canvas. TCC are available for SpringBoard Digital’s ELA and Math eBook and assessment content.
District IT Administrators can expect support from SpringBoard Customer Support through the Thin Common Cartridge importing process. If you are a District IT Administrator interested in importing TCC for Canvas or Schoology, please contact SpringBoard Customer Support at [email protected] for the TCC files, Key and Secret and External tool Configuration Settings.
If you are experiencing issues within the Canvas or Schoology platforms after a successful import, please contact Canvas and Schoology Support for further assistance.
